"Pickles for Nickels" is a cardboard world where monkeys steal pickles and shops change overnight. A stop-motion visualization of the city’s rapidly changing neighborhoods and its impact on everyone on the block, from the street musicians to the can collectors. The physical materials used in creation of the film focus on recycling and deterioration, reflective of the conditions on the block with the last pickle shop. Winner of the Stellar Animation Award at the 2010 Black Maria Film Festival.
This is my 8th major work in a year. It encompasses every facet of my existence. Pretend the video is my body. It’s a metaphor for my entire life. All blood. All organs. My brain. My heart. Entrails. In one 42 minute video. I’ve released a thousand albums since I was 12. There are bits and pieces of all my bands in this. RTis stufffrom all my videos ohllIt’s an escuse to soak up my reeality, My reality… wHEN OEIOE=. just everything. someone will discover it as time capsukle anm it will representm y generajkn, this is it, actuallyt. the end of the end of the beginning of ther ednd. life’s too short. THIS IS FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. basically, i wanted to make a no budget experimental film that emcompassed my entire reality. no one wanted to work with me naturally. i could only pay them in jellyfish eggs, afterall. so i just scraped together various pieces of my life, like my real life meeting with bill gates, music i made when i wasbetween the ages of 12 and 16. then i met a girl in real life and dated her, easily the love of my life! oh my so the film becomes a love story. then it became an absurd version of various fights we’d had and whatever. this was all real. we’d fight in real life. a few days latrtttttttttttttwe always make up though, because we were in love, and that’s really whatl ife is all about,. friends. i had a screening april 30th for my movies. i spent $150 or something. it was worth it. it was a hilariious. time so the last part of the movie is a documentary. enjopy this one. even though no one liked it. though everyone did as well.

This film has been written symmetrically:
the second half is strictly like the first, but played backwards and mirrored.
The second part doesn’t act like a simple rewinding, but as the following of the first.
It explores all sorts of symmetry: compositions, shapes, sounds and music, scenario, colors, actions, time…
Written, directed & edited by Yann Pineill
Music by Cliff Martinez & Joseph Haydn
Starring Edouard Sanville, Daphné Sanville & Romane Pineill
Unfortunately with this amount of fast motion no matter if compressionless Vimeo will still loose you a lot of detail into pixel oblivion

We shot three different movies for Ruinart.
This project enabled us to approach two worlds : a historical French champagne producer and a Dutch designer. We shot inside designer Piet Hein Eek’s workshop where he creates simple furniture from recycled material.
Piet Hein Eek took inspiration from the first wooden cases Ruinart used to ship its bottles back in the 18th century, to produce pale grey, white and cream pine pieces for the Blanc de Blancs boxes.
For the Blanc de blancs movie, we chose to show PH Eek’s work :
we used 5D MarkIII as well as Ditogear as motion control.
